Technical Notes
- → 130A short-arc on 2.3 mm carbon steel — the pool is wider than the 100A recording, with a more pronounced trailing solidification edge
- → The wire feed at 5.0 m/min produces a steady dip-transfer rhythm visible as regular pool oscillation in the short exposure frames
- → Compare with the 100A recording to see how a 30A increase changes pool width and penetration profile on the same material grade
Why this recording matters
This mid-range short-arc setting is the workhorse of light structural and general fabrication on carbon steel. The recording lets you compare pool behavior between 100A and 130A on the same S235JR material — useful for training welders and validating WPS parameters.
